On our last trek of our (Masonic) historical excursion, Mason and I found ourselves at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and Arlington National Cemetery.

After a long day, we ate at Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria and stayed at a very nice Airbnb place we found near Old Town Alexandria.
The next morning, we stopped in Arlington National Cemetery before heading to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to fly back home.
Gotta get another plug in for Pennsylvania. Brother George Washington was Entered on November 4, 1752 in Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4. At the time Lodge No. 4 was warranted by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania (things were a lot less organized back then. Bro. George was only 20 years old as well). Although later Fredericksburg surrendered it’s warrant when the Grand Lodge of Virginia was organized, those of us in the “Keystone State” take pride in the fact that our most famous and illustrious Brother joined the Craft as a Pennsylvania Freemason.
